Colin Andrews is the man who coined the term "Crop Circles." He is acknowledged as the foremost researcher on the subject in the world, having investigated the mystery since the early 1980’s and holds most extensive archive. He has studied the subject for three decades, traveling the world extensively, and is now confident he knows what is taking place and what the message is. He recently agreed to a live four hour marathon ‘face to face’ interview in a first of its kind interview with a man who has made a large number of crop circles. Colin was able to prove in this world-wide Internet interview that human Circlemakers are an important part of the extraordinary process unfolding.

Eleven years ago Andrews shocked the world when he stated that 80% of circles during a two year period of intense investigation in England, were man-made and stated that he believed the subject would finally be understood by looking more closely at consciousness. He went on to say that he would be back when those answers were known.

Well he's back. Anyone who has studied the crop circle mystery knows that the subject was put on the map by Andrews back in the early 1980s, and equally they know he has been the one consistent advocate of intelligence being behind them even accepting that people are making many if not most of the circles. Biography

Colin is best known for his research into the crop circle & UFO subjects since 1983. He provides the only continuity between the past crop circle research era and the present, along with his friend and colleague, Busty Taylor. His long view of both the genuine phenomenon and the human-made phenomenon provides unique insight into the subject. His research results indicate the intelligence behind the phenomenon is interacting with both crop circle researchers and many of the people who make the hoaxes.

He has publicly stated since the late 1980s, that the phenomenon indicates a future period of human chaos. The period indicated, supported by current trends, can be changed with human awareness. He also believes there are serious eco-political implications and that the future direction of the planet is at the center of the phenomenon. In the final analysis Andrews believes the phenomenon is challenging people to a higher level of consciousness during this profound transition – which incidentally Andrews predicted in TV interviews and presentations, 25 years ago. Some native elders agree with Colin’s assessment which is supported by the 2012 Mayan Prophecy. His latest book, written with his wife, The Complete Idiots Guide to 2012 covers this connection.

Colin’s 25-year investigation continues with growing urgency for openness and honesty in government and private research, respect for divergent opinions, and co-operation between investigators in all areas. Colin is an accomplished professional photographer, who has been invited to show his photographs in art galleries across the United States, including the Philadelphia Art Museum and the Cortland Jessup Art Gallery in Provincetown, Cape Cod. One spectacular photograph of Princess Diana and Prince Charles on their honeymoon was presented to the Queen and to this day also hangs in the Mayors Parlour at Romsey, England - the home town of Prince Charles uncle, Lord Louis Mountbatten of Burma.

Colin Andrews is an electrical engineer by profession and was a principle official in British Regional Government during the 1970s and 80s. He became involved in the crop circle mystery in 1983 when he saw an arrangement of five circles in a wheat field near Winchester, England. Intrigued by the engineering aspects, he began investigating the circles with Pat Delgado, a retired NASA engineer and Busty Taylor a light aircraft pilot.

During his years of research he advised Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher’s cabinet on the mystery, supervised the largest crop circle surveillance project in 1990 named "Operation Blackbird," and amassed the largest data base in the world on the subject. Operation Blackbird was an effort to film a genuine crop circle forming. It was sponsored by BBC and Nippon television and was authorized to take place on Ministry of Defense land and with British Army assistance. In 1996 Colin was asked by Laurance Rockefeller to provide information for the Rockefeller Initiative. The Initiative provided the United States government with the "best available evidence" regarding UFOs with the purpose of opening public dialogue. Colin continued to receive funding in 1999 from Laurance Rockefeller to conduct a two year investigation into crop circle hoaxing. He put together a team who studied the construction patterns of man-made crop circles that had been commissioned by various commercial and media interests. In addition, members of his team infiltrated several circle-making groups uncovering new information regarding the level of anomalous phenomena experienced by the hoaxers while making circles. Using man-made circles as a base, Andrews studied the formations that appeared in England throughout 1999 and 2000. His research data brought him to the unpleasant conclusion that 80% of all the crop circles he studied showed "unassailable" signs of being man-made. The remaining 20% showed all the signs of being part of the genuine phenomenon he had encountered 20 years earlier. The publication of this data was largely rejected at the time. Today, the majority of honest, unbiased researchers have come to believe the truth of Colin’s assessment. Colin and his wife, Synthia have traveled around the world meeting with indigenous leaders, seeking to understand the larger picture of the crop circle phenomenon.
